If you are getting a playback error often, the easiest and fastest fix is to restart your firestick. Here’s how

There are two ways to restart a Fire Stick:

• Hit the house button on remote
• Use the remote: Press and hold the Select and Play/Pause buttons on the remote for about 5–10 seconds. A message will appear on the screen indicating that the device is restarting.
• Use the settings menu: Navigate to Settings, then My Fire TV, and then Restart . A message will appear on the screen indicating that the device is restarting.

Check for online devices causing the error

The next thing to check is to make sure all devices that are not currently in use are on the app home screen. If you are only setup for 1 connection and you are using multiple devices, you must return the app to home screen before powering off TV. The reason for this is because the firestick will continue to run and the server will not allow you to play a second device.
